StageAbility brings the warmth, laughter and energy of a brilliant drama class into the school day. Children learn through carefully structured games, improvisation, storytelling and group challenges. They are encouraged to contribute, cooperate and try something new without the pressure of preparing for a formal performance.
A programme shaped around your priorities
Choose the programme that best meets your school objectives. We agree the desired outcomes with your school before the programme begins.

Flexible for your timetable
Book 6, 10 or 12 sessions, weekly or fortnightly. Sessions can last 30, 45 or 60 minutes. We can work with a class, year group, several classes across the school, a nurture group or another targeted group. A school TA or other agreed adult attends full-class sessions.
Inclusive and adaptable
Our practitioners create a welcoming environment in which children can participate at an appropriate level. StageAbility has experience working in mainstream and specialist schools and adapting activities for children with SEND, low confidence and differing communication needs.
Participation worth celebrating
Children can work towards StageAbility skill ribbons, with achievements shared in class or assembly. Your school also receives a concise end-of-programme impact report based on the outcomes agreed at the start.
Experienced and ready for schools
StageAbility was established in 2008 and has worked with around 30 local schools. Safeguarding, enhanced DBS, first aid and insurance arrangements are in place. Programmes are available in Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire.
