StageAbility’s core drama classes run after-school for children aged 5-18 in Wokingham, Earley, Tilehurst and Burghfield Common. These classes suit everyone – experienced or novice – and are ideal for children who need to build confidence as well as those who want to develop their acting skills.
Our youngest students attend class for an hour and get to enjoy all the fun-packed games and acting exercises, centred around our core teaching for the term. The longer class for 7- to 11-year-olds combines drama games, improvisation, movement, diction, character work and storytelling. The class for 12 to 18 year olds builds on the same key drama skills, but at much more of an advanced pace and level. But rest assured, we don’t lose any of the fun!
What parents say about our weekly classes
My daughter has been part of StageAbility for 1 term and absolutely loved it. She has little interest in drama but after encouraging her to attend one class, she doesn’t want to stop! I can see how much she enjoys the sessions and how they are helping her to build her confidence. Jackie and her team are brilliant with the children. I would highly recommend for all ages.
A very friendly welcome and lovely to receive personal feedback after a few weeks. Oliver is really enjoying his drama sessions, thank you!
We pride ourselves on the family-feel of our drama classes and have had students progress through our classes for up to ten years. That’s when you know you’re getting it right!
All StageAbility Tutors and Administrators have a current, enhanced DBS disclosure and have received in-house StageAbility training in line with our teaching philosophy and structure.
